Grove Music Online has been updated for Spring 2010. The update includes 250 new articles from the forthcoming second edition of the Grove Dictionary of American Music. This AmeriGrove update focuses primarily on 19th-century music. It also includes a substantial number of entries related to music education. Entries on band music make up another large portion of the update, and this area, too, will have expanded coverage in the second edition.
Additionally, Grove has updated the bibliographies of a number of Early Music entries, including the biographies of Giovanni Gabrieli, Carlo Gesualdo, Orlando Gibbons, and Cipriano de Rore.
