I shall be pleased to hear from
you as to state of affairs following
return of the party.

I think we have had a very pleasant
and successful trip - yet I know none
of them will be more glad to get home
again than I shall.

Excuse this hasty letter and its
appearance as I write in a cold
room with fingers numb.

Please do consider it official to a
certain extent.

With sincere regards to yourself
and Mrs. Tatum.

Believe me ever
Your friend
Henry E. Alvord
Special Indian Commissioner
Interior Dept
Washington

If I can do aught for you at Washin. let me know
