Clarkvill Texas
Aprile the 9 1862

Dear companion hit is with great pleasure that
I take the oppatunity of writing you a few lines
to let you know that I am well when that is sede
all is sed. to say I am sadisfied I cannot don't
I never expect to see another sadisfied our
unless I have the pleasure of retearen home to
you and my sweet little babs wee air
station 5 miles est of clarkvill will move
in the morning 8 miles west of clarkvill
wee dont know when wee will leave that place
I heard this morning that wee war orded to the
Creak nation but donot know when wee will
start I waunt you to write as soon as you get
this hit will afford me much pleasure to read
a letter from you I am so cofused I cannot write
I will try to do better next time Dave is well
and geting along well whith the company
I have got nomore to say this time only do
the best you can and remember your
