Dr. Anna Lewis, Choctaw Historian |
Historical Photographs | Finding Aid |
In 1958, Anna Lewis shared her early memories of the college in a letter to Sarah Ellis, Director of Public Relations, written to commemorate the 50th anniversary of OCW. She recalled that President Austin had a 25-year plan which included a number of new buildings, with a library building to be located in the center of the mall. She remembered that President Austin liked people, and liked to have them visit him. “Many is the evening that I have walked up to his house for a game of pitch. While in his office he was never too busy to talk about the problem you had in your personal life as well as professional affairs.” |
